Job Description 
Role and Responsibilities
 
Part of supplier identification, assessment and development for customized products
Evaluate the initial samples and/or engineering change requests looking for product specification compliance, assuring the planning timelines correspond to the start of production
Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence
Influence the development of new projects and technical concepts to achieve the continuous improvement of our product
Recommend technical product improvements evaluating risks and potential chances to avoid quality manufacturing issues, by comparing similar parts assembly line and field development
Apply methods like DOE (Design of Experiment), 6 Sigma, other quality tools for to analyze the root causes and derive corrective actions of complaints or issues.
Solve manufacturing and customer complaints via monitoring and analysis of the quality problems, ensuring that the contingency and definitive measures are implemented assuring process stability and preventing these issues in the future
Conducting process audits periodically at supplier location and work on addressing the open issues and strive for improvement
Provide monthly Supplier Performance Reviews on Suppliers with monitoring of corrective action plans
Building up effective and solid communication channels with suppliers as well as BE cross-functional team to ensure quality, on-time execution and delivery of projects
Responsible for developing comprehensive quality assurance plan and quality control for the commodities procured for various projects. Commodities include Sheet Metal fabrication, cable assemblies, magnetics machined parts.
 
Skills and Experience:
Demonstrated ability to investigate quality problems and to apply sound technical judgment to develop possible solutions
Strong Technical Writing skills and proficiency in Technical Review of documents
Knowledge of basic concepts of design, metrology, instrumentation and quality tools.
Ability to measure and report suppliers capability and quality performance
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Self-Motivated, ability to initiate and follow tasks through to completion
Exposure to handling International suppliers or customers
Willing to travel for Supplier visits on need basis
Strong data analysis and reporting skills
Candidates shall have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and interact with customers, contract manufacturers and suppliers on a technical level and with corporate office counterparts.
